Sister Mataina Wily – 23/10/1927 – 7/1/2015
We would like to extend our sincere condolences to the grieving family, relatives and friends of late Sister Mataina Wily who passed away in Samoa. Those who knew her witnessed in her life that Sr Mataina loved her Lord Jesus and was a true matriarch in this beautiful island of Samoa. Sr Wily was a loving mother to Brother Pasene Wily, Sisters Tulipe, Ario and Pele. She fell asleep in Jesus while in hospital on the 7th January 2015 at 11:45pm at the age of 87 years. The burial took place on Sunday 11th January 2015.
May God comfort each one during this time of sadness and may we all look forward to the day when we shall see our sister once again. “In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10.
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18.
