Nathan Boje’s Baptism

Nathan Boje’s Baptism

Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

“Baptism is a most solemn renunciation of the world. Those who are baptized in the threefold name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, at the very entrance of their Christian life declare publicly that they have forsaken the service of Satan and have become members of the royal family, children of the heavenly King. They have obeyed the command: ‘Come out from among them, and be ye separate, … and touch not the unclean thing.’ And to them is fulfilled the promise: ‘I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.’ 2 Corinthians 6:17, 18.” Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 91.

On the 20th of January, Br. Nathan Boje decided to publicly  announce to the world that he is “dead [to the world] and [his] life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). It was encouraging to see him make this important decision to become a member of the body of our Lord Jesus Christ on this earth. It was a very blessed Sabbath day. Church was full of members and visitors, and the weather was lovely. We started at 2pm with the profession of faith and then headed to Brimbank Park where there was a nice spot where the Maribyrnong River flowed smoothly through. Br. Nathan Tyler led out during this solemn occasion.

After that, we all went back to church to have the fellowshipment ceremony.

Following this blessed baptism, we understand Br. Nathan Boje will be enrolled as a student of the Elim Missionary College. May the Lord bless him and help him always! Let us keep him in our prayers!
