WA: Branch Sabbath School

A Branch Sabbath School has been started in Western Australia in the suburb of High Wycombe. The group held its first meeting on May 26 and meets every Sabbath from 10 to 11 in the morning.

The group is organized by the Guildford Church, which is located only a short 15-minute drive away. Guildford Church agreed to commence its Divine Service at 11:30am to permit rostered members attending the Branch Sabbath School to return in time for the church service. This arrangement also allows more time in between Sabbath School ending and Divine Service and makes room for a 15-minute pre-sermon song service that everyone enjoys.

The Branch Sabbath School is advertised primarily via a letter-boxed flyer. About 1000 flyers are printed each quarter to advertise the study group in the local community. Guildford Church members engage in regular monthly letterbox drops following a structured plan with maps of High Wycombe to ensure that everyone in the suburb will receive an invite.
