The biennial Victoria Camp was held on the Easter weekend, April 5-9, 2012. Our theme was “Jesus' Last Prayer,” on the subject of Christian unity. Jesus' prayer in John 17 was for His disciples. The main emphasis of His prayer was “that they may be one.” We learned that the unity of the church is the greatest evidence of the reality of Jesus' mission. Our first priority must be unity with Jesus ourselves, which will lead to unity with one another and a unified witness to the world.
As a first for a camp in Victoria, the meetings were broadcast live on the Internet. A number of viewers from around the world tuned in to the meetings.
We were blessed with the presence of the Elim Missionary College students, who assisted with everything from presenting several of the meetings, to helping with food preparation, to running the live Internet broadcast.
A number of activities for the youth were held. The highlight was a boat trip around Lake Victoria on the passenger boat owned by the campground. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship as we spent several hours touring the lake together.
