We were sad to learn that the mother of Br. Jacques Payet passed away in June. Our sincere sympathies go to Br. Jacques and his family during their time of sorrow. We pray each family member feels God’s loving arms around them, as you mourn the loss of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. May the blessed hope of the resurrection morning help to bring comfort to your hearts during this time of grief.
Br. Jacques, originally from the Seychelles, now living in Perth, is an ordained elder who has served as the field leader for Western Australia several times. He has also for many years been an active executive member for the Australasian Union Conference. When visiting the Seychelles, Br. Payet voluntarily assists the General Conference with the work there.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
