13th Sabbath Combined Fellowship
Whareora, New Zealand
24th June 2017
For the benefit of both our brethren in Auckland Church and our isolated church members, we decided to hold a combined Sabbath gathering at Whareora, New Zealand on the 24th June 2017. One of our church members offered his spacious house for the Sabbath Meeting accommodations. The drive from Auckland to Whareora is almost three hours. Brethren, friends, and interests from Kaitaia, Hamilton, Dargaville and Whangarei joined us for the Sabbath. The total attendance for our services in the Sabbath School, Divine Worship Hour, and Young People’s Meeting was 33. We praise God for the full and lovely day of fellowship together.
Cooking Lessons
New Lynn, New Zealand
At 4:50 pm on Tuesday afternoon our first cooking demo started. The Saifoloi family were wanting to learn how to make tofu. Sister Mercy Dumaguit and my mum, Sister Richel were the demonstrators. They showed them the basics of making tofu. I also taught the twin girls how to make vegan cinnamon rolls while the tofu was being made. We made lots of yummy tofu dishes and the cinnamon rolls were our dessert. We’ve been doing these cooking demos for 3 weeks (August 7, 15, & 22). The 2nd week we showed the same family how to make healthy fruit smoothies and vegan banana cake. And on the 3rd week we made Mexican dishes such as nachos, spicy beans and burritos. We hope to continue these cooking lessons with this wonderful family. They are very interested in health and how to eat healthy. I pray to God that He will continue to bless our cooking lessons so that all will be encouraged to eat healthier.
