Congratulations to Sam and Rebeka

Congratulations to Sam and Rebeka

We would like to congratulate Brother Sam Wiseman and Sister Rebeka Toth on their marriage.

Our great and wonderful God when He created Adam uttered these words found in Genesis 2:18, “…It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”  Thus, humanity has been blessed with companionship ever since.

Sam shared the following about his proposal:

“On the morning of the 27th February 2020, we rose early and drove to Griffith NSW; we were going flying!  Rebeka had her suspicions about possible special words being said.

As we flew, my heart rate got faster, and faster and we discussed certain sights and situations, until we came over the Field where I had written out the words:  ‘Will you marry me Beka?’  I told her to look down and see what she could read.  A smile quickly came over her face as she turned back to me and said: YES!!!

God is very good and has blessed us with each other.

We ask for your prayers and ongoing support as we plan our lives together!”

Several wedding plans were made and subsequently cancelled, due to the ever-changing restrictions on events and travel. Finally, with travel looking possible, a sunrise beach wedding was planned in Wollongong. However, this had to be cancelled due to the COVID outbreak in Sydney.

After multiple attempts to gain a travel exemption, Rebeka was finally able to come to Australia in mid-December, spending two weeks in quarantine in Adelaide. Then on the 29th of December, family and friends gathered to witness their vows, in a lovely garden on a farm in rural New South Wales.

Here are some sentiments shared by Sam and Rebeka:

On the 29th of December, God finally opened the way for us both to pledge our lives to each other in holy matrimony. Our wedding took place in a beautiful private garden near Coleambally, NSW. The green lawn and the neat lake, made for a perfect backdrop to vow to each other before family and friends, followed by an amazing reception at our parent’s property in a marquee.

We have been through many struggles and trials to be together and are constantly amazed at how God lined up the miracles for it all to take place.

We thank everyone for their prayers and support, and we ask for continued prayers as we aim to live our lives in accordance with God’s will in this ever-changing world.

Your brother and sister in Christ, Sam and Rebeka Wiseman

May God truly bless Sam and Rebeka as they build together a little heaven here on earth.
