The Venue

Situated along the shores of Lake Victoria, Lakewood Park offers a serene environment surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation.

Facilities include dormitory accommodation and a main lodge with multipurpose area. Dorms sleep up to 6 per room in bunks.

Youth Activities

Available activites include the following:

  • Ropes course – A climbing and balance challenge with a flying fox at the end
  • Canoeing – Grab an oar and enjoy canoeing the large private lake at Lakewood Park
  • Raft building – Learn teamwork as you race to construct a raft with a group of your friends.
  • Lake tour – Sightseeing around Lake Victoria on the Lakes Odyssey, Lakewood Park’s own passenger boat. (Numbers and weather permitting; a small fee may apply)

Lakewood Park is about 295 kilometres, or 3.5 hours drive, east of Melbourne.

Directions

  1. From Melbourne, take the Princes Hwy toward Bairnsdale
  2. On entering Bairnsdale, take the Paynesville turnoff
  3. Follow the road for 10km to the junction of Lake Victoria Rd, turn right
  4. Go straight ahead 4.5km and you will be at the Lakewood Park gate.

Accommodation

Dormitory accommodation is included in the fee. Please bring your own bedding (bottom sheet linen and pillow provided).

Check-in/out: Check-in to the cabin facilities begins Thursday, 5th April at 4 p.m. Check-out of cabins by 12 p.m., Monday, 9th April.

Note: pets are not permitted at Lakewood Park.
