Wedding Congratulations – Luke and Anda Phillips

Wedding Congratulations – Luke and Anda Phillips

1st February 2016

After days of rain, Anda and Luke were very thankful to God for a beautiful sunny Monday when family and friends gathered to witness the joining of their two lives in holy matrimony. The ceremony took place in a large outdoor gazebo, with side glass panels.  Looking at a water fountain spraying up in the air, before the ceremony, the guests enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

Br Nathan Tyler, who officiated the marriage ceremony, welcomed each one present and shared some announcements. Refreshments were served while guests waited for the bride to arrive.  During the ceremony, items were rendered by various groups, and a special gift was given to the happy couple by the bride’s sisters, Diana and Fulga; when the gift was opened, two butterflies flew away.  The butterflies were a symbol of love, beauty and transformation; a symbol of Anda and Luke’s love and commitment to each other, the beginning of a new journey in life.

After the religious service, the couple signed the paperwork, and when back in the gazebo they were presented to the guests as Brother and Sister, Mr and Mrs Luke Phillips.

There was some free time between the religious ceremony and the reception while the couple went to their photoshoot.

We gathered back at the same location in the evening for a wonderful reception. Again many items of praise were offered to God in between the food courses.  Speeches were made, and thanks were given to all who helped make this day a wonderful one.

Speach by Anda

Luke and Anda have purposed in their hearts to be missionaries in East Timor. Soon they will be taking on that challenge and will be making their move.

May God bless them as they start a new life witnessing for their Master! “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Ecclesiastes 4:9.

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Numbers 6:24-26.
