A large group of people gathered around the Swan River nearby our church to witness the beautiful baptism of Sr Elizabeth Fisher. Sr Elizabeth had envisioned her baptism being a living testimony of what Christ can do in the life and she invited as many people as she could to witness the event, including some new acquaintances she had only met weeks before. Family, neighbours, friends and church family were all present to hear her testimony and to see her be buried in the flowing water of the river.
Sr Elizabeth loves music and her baptismal ceremony was interspersed with many beautiful items of praise by different individuals and groups from Guildford Church.
It was a memorable day as we witnessed a new chapter commence in the life of our newest member. We were really happy to see her make her commitment and become part of our church family.
