On the 19 February 2002, five members left Auckland in a rented van enroute to Nelson in the South Island, to share in the baptism of three souls. One candidate was picked-up from Tirau on the way south. The following day, we travelled on the vehicular ferry across Cook Straight and through the picturesque Marlborough Sounds to Picton.
