Early on a Tuesday morning, the home of Brother Benny and Sister Amy Gules rang with thanksgiving and praises to God for the safe arrival of their second baby boy. Zachariah John, a home-delivered, beautiful, healthy, and bouncy 4.05kgs baby entered this world. He has continued to grow rapidly, bringing so much happiness to all the family and those around him. Alma Ida Esmeralda Wooden (nee Hughes) was laid to rest on Monday, 10 September, 2012 at the Wagga Wagga Monumental Cemetery after a service at the SDA Church in Wagga Wagga. Alma had two sisters (Merle, Gladys) and two brothers (Jack, Bill) one being her twin – Bill. The family recalled the happy times together at the home farm whilst growing up. It was a warm sunny day on Wednesday, September 12, when our dear friend and sister in Christ, Agnes Helen Haynes was laid to rest until the resurrection morning. Many relatives and friends gathered for the 10:00am funeral service at the Castlebrook Memorial Park chapel, where her life was lovingly remembered. Vanuatu Mission News
On the 14th of September, Br Andrew Pakoasongi reported that the Vanuatu Mission Field had just completed a week of public meetings combined with a youth camp. The turnout to the meetings was very good, and six interested souls are now undergoing further Bible studies. PNG School Project Update
Many weeks of phone calls, emails and preparations came to a climax on Wednesday, 25 July, 2012, when the first shipment of over 5000 pieces of educational materials were sent from Brisbane, Australia to Papua New Guinea. It was encouraging to finally load up the delivery truck with 71 boxes of Christian based school curriculum materials and 72 x 45 litre Plastic Storage Containers that will be needed once the shipment arrives in PNG.
