NSW Youth Day Outing – Bike Riding

16 November 2014 Once again an enthusiastic number of youth and older folks met together at Lady Carrington Drive, Royal National Park NSW with their bikes at 9:45am. As the day dawned, it was pouring rain in Sydney, but that did not deter the keen ones, who were looking forward to enjoying God’s beautiful creation, to still come along.  The closer we got to the National Park the clearer the skies became until there was a beautiful clear day with…

NSW Youth Focus Meeting

FOCUS on Success – 1 November 2014 The first Sabbath of the month had come around again, November 1st, and this called for another Youth Focus Meeting night. This night was decided to be a fruit and finger food night, as being summer-like, and with the beautiful hot weather, fruits were sure to cool us all down. It was held at Joe and Lidia Voncina’s home, where Br Peter Lausevic held an open discussion on “Success” and what this word…

By the time most of the people arrived it was time to open Sabbath with a…

RLPA

Saved by Grace – Davi P. Silva & Jorai P. da Cruz Today, more than ever before, the people of God are in great need of power from above to finish the work of spreading the gospel.  It is high time that we should study, accept, live, and preach with power the precious truth that salvation is possible only by the grace of Christ. Is man saved by faith without works?  Or by faith with works?  Or by faith which…

Wentworthville Depression Recovery Program Sunday morning on July 13, the Wentworthville Church kitchen was a busy hive of activity as the sisters were preparing lunch for the graduates of the Dr Neil Nedley Depression Recovery Program. NSW Youth Focus Meeting – July 2014

5 July 2014 July’s Youth Focus Meeting (YFM) took place at Danko and Rosetta Ilic’s home. Upon closing the Sabbath together, we were all tested on our general Bible knowledge by doing a couple of Bible Trivia Quizzes.   One was on “End of Time Prophecy” and the other was a general knowledge quiz from the New Testament.  These were multiple answer questions and even though they looked very easy, it did make one think.  For example: What does the phrase…

Cooking Demonstration – Perth WA

On Sunday July 20, the WA Health Department team hosted another cooking demonstration, this time including a hands-on bread making workshop in the program.  It was something new for everybody, but went off really well, although of course we learned some things along the way. The program began with the bread-making, with everybody heartily joining in and having a lot of fun together.  Once the bread was ready for rising, we cleaned up a little (there was liberal amounts of…

Youth Camp – Coral Bay Western Australia

Enjoying God’s Creation – Coral Bay Camp In this day and age with people living such busy lives, we are thankful to God for giving us such wonderful counsels in the Spirit of Prophecy which we can all benefit from, in our practical lives. “Let families unite together and leave their occupations which have taxed them physically and mentally, and make an excursion out of the cities and villages a few miles into the country, by the side of a…

NSW Youth Focus Meeting

Youth Focus Meetings (YFM) are normally held on the first Sabbath evening of each month.  During the month of May, the YFM was held at Brother Matthias and Sister Lizy Thiel’s home.  Thank you for opening your home to us. During this meeting we analysed the experience of Felix, specifically the verse found in Acts 24:25,“And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a…
